India. A country rich in colour and culture, with hidden gems at every turn; a melding pot of inspiration and creativity close to my heart. Exploring rural villages and homes of generations of textile makers and printing artisans during a 2014 university expedition, I was touched by the sacred nature of life and living.
In a brief sacred moment, a colossal temple surrounded by innumerable grazing cows epitomised the coexistence of man and beast. This Being stood out, standing proud, with the biggest horns I have ever seen and the deepest soul I have ever felt. He stared right back at me. Two souls entwined. Connected. Recognised. Sacred.
